How to Open a BODIVA Custody Account
Complete guide to opening a securities custody account on BODIVA for retail and institutional investors.
Angola’s capital markets infrastructure has undergone significant modernization since BODIVA’s establishment in 2014. The exchange now operates an electronic trading platform (SETIC), a central securities depository (CEVAMA), and interfaces with the BNA’s real-time gross settlement system.
Key Information
All trading on BODIVA follows CMC regulations and the Angola Securities Code (Lei 22/15). Market participants include licensed brokers (SCVMs and SDVMs), custodian banks, and registered auditors.
For Foreign Investors
Foreign investors can access BODIVA through licensed local brokers. Under Aviso 15/19, capital markets transactions are exempt from the CEOC (foreign exchange tax), making direct investment more accessible.
